Job Description

Wells Fargo's Corporate Asset-Liability Management Group (ALM) is looking for a highly motivated individual with sharp analytical skills, proficiency in written communication, and experience in the areas of balance sheet analysis, financialforecasting, regulatory reporting, process development and controls.  Theindividual will play a key role in the Resolution and Recovery Planning (RRP) initiatives within the team.

The Asset-Liability Management Group performs a wide range of highly complex quantitative analyses of the Company's balance sheet forecast.  Team members are responsible for partnering with corporate and business unit subject matter experts to evaluate financial projections, provide management withinsight concerning the balance sheet forecast, completion of regulatory reporting requirements, and contributing to the preparation and documentation of RRP activities.
This position provides a unique opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of Wells Fargo's balance sheet and add value to the development of RRP forecasting methodologies, analyses, and reporting practices while building partnerships across multiple work streams including corporate and business unit asset-liability management, finance, liquidity risk, RRP Office, and accounting teams.

Responsibilities for this position may include:
 Building and establishing ALM’s capabilities to meet RRP forecasting, analysis, and reporting requirements for balance sheet and net interest income
 Developing new methodologies to drive balance sheet and net interest income financial analyses and reporting requirements unique to RRP
 Managing ALM RRP workflows and processes to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy of results, providing centralized guidance to work stream partners
 Utilizing subject matter expertise to provide credible review and challenge of RRP financial projections and underlying key assumptions
 Enhancing the governance structure surrounding the production, review and reporting of RRP financial projections for the balance sheet and net interest income
 Responding to regulatory inquiries and ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidance and instructions pertaining to balance sheet and net interest income RRP projections
 Building strong partnerships to establish sound processes to meet monthly and quarterly ALM RRP deliverables to internal partners
 Creation and maintenance of tools used for ALM RRP financial analysis and reporting
 Developing procedural documentation and narratives to support ALM RRP modeling, including establishing proper governance and controls
 This position may also support Asset-Liability Management’s deliverables related to our parallel stress testing process, including  completion of regulatory reports such as the FR Y-14Q schedule and supporting documentation
 Supporting other Corporate Asset-Liability Management Group initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of financeexperience

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset liability or liquidity management software, especially QRM

Other Desired Qualifications

  •  Experience analyzing/forecastingcash flows and modeling balance sheet behaviors
  •  Familiarity with Wells Fargo's general ledger, balance sheet/product offerings, management reporting, and material legal entity structure
  •  Proficiency in Hyperion Essbase/Smartview
  •  Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  •  Superior quantitative, leadership and critical thinking skills
  •  Proven ability to partner effectively and work collaboratively with fellow team members
  •  Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
  •  Experience using QRM or similar asset liability management models/systems
  •  Understanding of liquidity management and liquidity risk fundamentals
  •  Expertise in understanding complex accounting and finance concepts
  •  Familiarity with regulatory reports including FR Y-9C, Call reports, FR Y-14 Q/A or DFAST
