Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our expanding Specialty Pharmacy Service. This clinical-based pharmacist will support the Hematology/Oncology team.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall drug therapy management of patients of our Penn State Cancer Institute who have been prescribed oral chemotherapy. The clinical specialist plays an important role on our Pharmacy’s Specialty Pharmacy team and in our ambulatory clinics by providing direct patient care through multidisciplinary rounding, patient education and monitoring, and serving as a drug information resource to the team. In addition, this individual develops and implements education programs for pharmacists, educates and trains pharmacy residents and students, and provides in-service education to physicians, nurses, and medical students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Doctor of Pharmacy degreerequired.
A.S.H.P. accredited PGY1 and relevant PGY2 specialty residency or equivalent experience required.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Pennsylvania.
