Strong preference for the position to be located at hte Corporate Headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN.
Lead and execute transportation related strategic initiatives and process improvement projects.
Implement large scale organizational change efforts from business case development, solution design, system testing through go-live then monitor and control.
Directly interface with and influence key leadership and functional experts to make strategic decisions, evaluate long-term opportunities and relate to business strategy, financial performance and effective resource utilization.
Influence operational decisions by employing fact based data analysis, implementation expertise, and solution recommendations.
BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business related degreepreferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ project management experience with an emphasis on distribution and transportationpreferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of formal project management methodologies with direct leadership experience from scope through implementation and control.
Track record of discovering and delivering process improvements via Lean, TQM, or Six Sigma methodologies, including leading Kaizen activities.
Basic office computer skills required such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Ability to use strong decision making and problem solving skills, logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solution, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Knack for anticipating both technical and functional impacts and requirements.
Demonstrated competency as a change agent working with management of small teams across the organization & supply chain.
Strong interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), and leadership skills required in order to effectively communicate initiatives and drive key business initiatives through the leadership team, non-exempt populations, and cross functional teams.
The ability to adapt, learn and become proficient in multiple systems and detailed processes quickly.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with great time management skills.
Ability to travel as business needs require.Our project managers average 20-30% travel.Typically planned 1-2 weeks in advance and normally not more than 2-3 consecutive nights.
