The Business Area Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Managing the business results, including contract fulfillment, project plans, milestones, deliverables, and ensure that client commitments and financial targets are met
  • Serves as the interface for multiple clients, and makes decisions that can affect multiple projects and/or an entire account
  • Exhibits leadership and forms strategic relationships with the client to develop integrated business solutions that meet the client needs
  • Implements business processes and tools to track and forecast financial metrics accurately at strategic and tactical levels
  • Manages pre-engagement work which includes defining and closing opportunities, determining engagement scope, pricing and cost projections, securing funding and formulating initial solutions
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of a portfolio of several Application Services (AS) projects (or sub-projects), or for the delivery of large complex AS project(s)
  • Responsible for assimilating the IBM processes and for implementing Application Development and Maintenance processes and Quality Assurance reviews on the project(s)
  • Provides leadership to the project managers and teams and is an advocate for the performance of the project and metrics
  • Responsible for staffing, selection, coaching, mentoring, and recognition of resources
  • Identifies staffing, based on skills strategy and business opportunities, to meet project or business demands

  • Experience in cross-geography project delivery (3+ Years)
  • Automotive Industry Domain Experience (2+ Years)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Scrum Master (CSM) certification
