The Corporate Accounting Department has an immediate new opening for a Supplier Relationship Manager.  Reporting to the Contracts and Sourcing Senior Manager, the Supplier Relationship Manager identifies, evaluates and develops effective processes and procedures that meet the objectives of the supplier relationship management program, best practice standards, and follows policy and/or risk compliance regulations. Provides detailed research and analysis and responds to inquiries; identifies issues of varying complexity in order to develop recommendations to solve escalated supplier problems and issues. Plans and executes solutions and may provide consultation to clients, colleagues and management. Guides cross-functional linked teams to address policy, risk or compliance issues.  Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices and/or monitoring. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

  • Develops and implements training and awareness programs; updates and maintains plans, processes, and procedures
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements, business standards, and related practices to ensure FRS compliance
  • Provides highly complex analysis of key and emerging risks and evaluates alignment with risk strategy and compliance efforts
  • Develops highly complex analyses, performance projections, statistical reports, and converts technical data into usable information for non-technical stakeholders
  • Leads and executes policy and procedure development, compliance testing, process analyses, gap identification, and remediation
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations, provides general training and support to clients, staff, and management, and answers complex inquiries as necessary
  • Leads and facilitates complex events and planning exercises related to risk mitigation
  • Directs, coordinates, and provides leadership support to cross-functional project teams as necessary


Education & Experience:

  • 9+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; higher degree preferred


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Acute analytical ability
  • Acute attention to detail with a high level of data integrity and accuracy
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information and/or instruction to key stakeholders
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders including Federal Reserve System staff
  • Broad and deep technical knowledge of supplier management practices, risk mitigation methodologies, processes, and procedures of related specialty
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with various other online applications, as needed for the role
