  • Acts as the project manager for assigned audit and advisory engagement projects. Conducts operational, compliance and financial audit and advisory engagement projects of domestic and/or international operations. Adjusts and implements project plan changes to ensure engagement project completion within project budgets and timelines. Assists audit management with, and occasionally leads, the development of audit engagement project plans, recommends the allocation of appropriate resources based on auditor knowledge and skill sets required to achieve project objective and goals.
  • Reviews finalized work paper documentation to ensure the retained documentation supports the audit work performed. As the project manager, assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of the corrective action(s) taken by management, stakeholders, or process owners to improve governance, risk management, and control issues, and provides recommendations for adequate audit coverage to achieve project objectives. Reviews completed work and provides guidance to less experienced auditors for the completion of project documentation and reporting.
  • Leverages understanding of the organization to provide value-added audit solutions and apply industry best practices. Acts as an information source within the department and assists less experienced auditors with the interpretation of applicable laws, regulations, compliance standards and audit methodologies. Identifies potential impacts of proposed regulatory changes or new statutes and provides recommendations to more experienced auditors and management.
  • Identifies, and communicates to management, project roadblocks and recommends appropriate actions to minimize impacts to established timelines and budget. Creates, or assists in creating, oral and written presentations to management throughout and at the conclusion of the engagement project by discussing process and control deficiencies, recommending corrective actions and other suggestions for improvements in operations and/or reductions in costs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant Experience or Degree in: Accounting, Operations, IT or related degree or equivalent training or experience in lieu of degree
  • Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp
  • Related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp
  • Accounting, Operations, IT or related professional auditing experience. Experience in a recognized process improvement discipline (Six Sigma, Lean ISO, etc.)
  • Professional Certification (CIA, CPE, CFE, CISA, etc.)
