Summary: The Acquisition Analyst Level III provides advice and assistance to Project Manager Instrumentation, Targets, Threat Simulators and SOF Training Systems (PM ITTS) with assistance in developing actionable requirement packages.  The Acquisition Analyst Level III shall routinely coordinate with Integrated Project Teams (IPT) which may also include members of ACC-Orlando Policy, ACC-Orlando Leadership, STRI Legal Counsel, and Small Business Office to maintain currency in documentation requirements and/or to seek advice or guidance.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Assist acquisition personnel to determine appropriate documentation required for the acceptance of a requirements package as indicated by PEO STRI Standard Operating Procedures, ACC-Orlando Acquisition Instructions, FAR, DFARS or any other applicable instructions or procedures.
  • Responsible for assisting with the development of writing performance criteria and requirements into sound/sufficient Statement of Work and/or task orders,
  • Perform or evaluate market research and trends, conditions and technological advances as they apply to the program,
  • Assist with the development of source selection evaluation criteria,
  • Coordinate and work with the technical experts and the contracting office to ensure project milestones are reflected in the contractual documents and project plan,
  • Assist in the development of independent Government Cost Estimates,
  • Responsible for assisting with the planning, preparing, and maintaining of the current acquisition plans and overall program office acquisition administration functions to include program control and tracking,
  • Research, quantitative and analytical skills, and
  • Consulting and advisory skills.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience or 10 plus years of relevant acquisition experience

  • The ability to articulate, present and convey both orally and in writing complex strategies, issues and solutions to targeted audiences,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of government contract management and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
