Job Description:

LSQ is seeking an exceptionally talented and motivated Commercial Credit Manager. Reporting to the Director of Credit & Underwriting, this individual will manage Credit department for the organization and make decisions concerning credit limits

  • Review all debtor credit requests submitted through internal and external  online portals.

  • Establish appropriate credit limits within granted  threshold and collaborate by providing recommendations to the Director of Credit & Underwriting as necessary.

  • Review and interpret customer financial statements, both public and private, to assist in determining credit worthiness.

  • Manage all aspects of credit insurance provider policy ensuring. Including, but not limited to submissions, reporting, cancellations, and vendor management.

  • Manage and maintain all relationships with credit reporting agencies.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include safety, interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Challenges team members in providing exceptional support to both external and internal customers.

  • Focuses on helping team members improve their skills and knowledge through day-to-day coaching.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or minimum of 5 years of direct commercial credit management experience

  • 5 or more years of Factoring, Finance, Banking, and/or related industry experience

  • Preferred 1-2 years of direct management experience of at least one direct report

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook

  • Skilled at delivering a high level of internal and external client/customer service

  • High level of written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to negotiate

  • Adept at all aspects of conflict resolution

  • Possess an ability to lead

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch.

Travel:

There will be minimal traveling required for this position.
