The Director of Compliance and Risk Management is responsible for organization-wide risk management activities which include administering the risk management program on a day to day basis, managing and analyzing risk management data, conducting risk management educational programs and complying with risk management related standards by JCAHO. The Director also participates in reserve setting discussions with legal counsel, assists legal counsel and insures in managing claims against the facility, all staff and employed physicians with the objective of controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility.
In addition, works with directors, managers, supervisors and staff members to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. This position will develop and delive,r through appropriate channels, the programs required to maintain corporate compliance objectives under the direction of the VP of Quality and the COO.
QUALIFICATIONS: BS required, MS/MA preferred; experience or education in healthcare preferred, experience or knowledge in legal matters of healthcare preferred.
