Position Description

Ki Ho Military Acquisition Consulting, Inc. (KIHOMAC) is seeking electrical engineers to support the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate (AETD) on the Electrical Systems Engineering Services (ESES) III contract.  The principal purpose of this contract is to provide electrical/electronic engineering support services and related work to AETD organizations, as required, for the study, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification and operations of space flight, airborne, and ground system hardware and software, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions.  


  • Education/Training (both required and desired):
    • Bachelors Degree in management or other relevant discipline required
    • Masters Degreepreferred
    • Experience in Operations Management desired
  • Experience:
    • 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area
    • Experience with tool design, specifically tools used to create aerospace parts
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with 3-D CAD desired
    • Experience with metal (steel, aluminum) machining preferred
    • Knowledge of Lathe and Mills preferred
    • Experience with government contracts desired
  • Security:
    • Must be a US citizen
    • SECRET level security clearance required

  • Experience in bidding and proposal writing (in response to customer solicitations)
  • Provide support to Program Manager, Contracting, or Engineering personnel in the areas of integrated program scheduling, configuration management, finance and accounting, contracting, data analyses, database development or manipulation, preparation of technical/program reports or briefings, test plans and reports, and associated documentation, test or validation/verification assistance
  • Understand budget maintenance, how to track expenditures and forecast future costs. Must be able to have the “big picture” and understand causes and effects that will impact budgets.
  • Fully competent in the acquisition process, and able to interpret and apply acquisition policy
  • Apply and correlate knowledge of multiple disciplines (engineering, logistics, sustainment, financial management, contracting, configuration management) to achieve cohesive program execution in accordance with overall cost, schedule & performance requirements
  • Develop and implement integrated program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, analyses, and execution strategy
  • Capable of performing tasks at all phases of system lifecycle to include: concept development, design, fabrication, test, manufacturing/production, sustainment, and disposal
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer/product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify/quantify associated risks
  • May be called upon to present and defend program position at program reviews, conferences
  • Provide higher management with status and decision information on key program issues
