McLaren Health Care is looking for a Director of Clinical Risk & Patient Safety to join the Corporate Risk Management Team.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for oversight of Clinical Risk and Patient Safety at all McLaren facilities.  The Director of Clinical Risk & Patient Safety provides administrative leadership, direction, and supervision in the integration of the overall Risk and Patient Safety program for the Corporation. Supervises and evaluates subordinate staff as assigned by subsidiary.  Responsible for development of annual corporate specific Patient Safety Plan. Coordinates patient safety improvement programs that reduce the risk of injury and promote reporting of incidents.  Develop and deliver education programs based on incident reporting data and system analysis.  Supports the Safety First Program for all sites including assistance with the performance of investigations and facilitation and coordination of Root Cause Analysis through the designated Cause Mapping tool. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advance DegreeRequired.  Preferably Juris Doctorate or Masters in Health Administration.  Clinical DegreePreferred for Bachelors
  • Minimum seven years of healthcareexperience demonstrating progressive leadership positions 
  • Certified Professional in HealthcareRisk Management (CPHRM) or other Patient Safety training/certification desired (CPPS, IHI Executive Development)

Cotinine testing will be used to verify non-tobacco use.
