Position Summary:

Under thegeneral direction of the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis the Senior Financial Analyst will perform financial planning and analysis to provide financial decision support for management and to ensure resources are allocated appropriately.

 The primary responsibilities of this position are to analyze financial and other data to uncover profit opportunities and work with team members to develop and implement plans to insure the benefits identified are realized.



  • Perform in depth financial and operational analysis of the business
  • Identify areas where financial performance is less than optimal and communicate these opportunities to management
  • Find correlations between multiple data sets to help management focus on areas of growth
  • Take a lead role in implementing plans with management to capitalize on the opportunities identified
  • Develop and establish control systems to monitor actual performance against expectations in order to optimize the opportunities
  • Lead or be part of system implementations or enhancements
  • Develop and improve process for all departments to eliminate waste and develop further reporting opportunities
  • Analyze the viability of capital projects
  • Takes ownership of the assigned responsibilities and act independently


The candidates must meet the following qualifications and have demonstrated the following technical or job skills:

  • Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent major
  • MBA, CPA, and/or CMA a plus
  • Strong technology skills, especially related to Microsoft Excel
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively deal with all levels at the company and build relationships
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and project management skills
  • Familiarity with cost accounting a plus, but not required
