Job Description

Summary:
The Costpoint Business Systems Analyst II or III is responsible for solving a wide range moderately complex problems by interpreting customer needs, assessing requirements and identifying solutions to a variety of standard and nonstandard business system requests. This individual use industry best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products and/or services on the MOX project; explaining difficult issues while working to establish consensus. The individual in this role also develop plans for short term work activities while managing time to meet assigned project schedules and agreed upon targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the commitment to safety, security, environmental and quality priorities and values throughout the MOX Project
  • Develop and apply processes and procedures in support of an organization using one or more enterprise applications
  • May interface to technology vendors for purposes of obtaining support or information
  • May assist in the administration of enterprise applications
  • Trouble shoots as needed
  • Performs testing of new functions or enterprise application upgrades
  • Interface with application end users, subject matter experts, supervisors and management
  • Perform numerous time-sensitive procedures on an ongoing basis
  • Configure, implement, and administer enterprise applications
  • Ensure security hardening, documentation and ongoing maintenance of complex enterprise applications and multiple modules
  • Create and implement secure system baselines for applications and ensure maintenance of security baselines when implementing changes
  • Utilize knowledge of application customization in migrating customization from old to new application versions
  • Participate in integration role between Business Systems Analyst and system architecture
  • Provide system administrative support associated with enterprise applications
  • Provide day-to-day end user support and serve as the interface to the vendor for troubleshooting and resolving system issues
  • May assist users in mapping application functionality to business work processes
  • Assist training of new users
  • May perform system upgrade planning and execute system upgrades
  • Apply security updates and implement security-related configuration improvements
  • Participate in application planning, design initiatives and application trouble-shooting/problem-solving
  • Actively manage risks to IT system confidentiality, integrity and availability, ensuring to create risk mitigation plans as required
  • Consult with management and Systems Analyst to clarify systems/programs intent and security design
  • Utilize and apply all IT policy in administering IT systems
  • Invests in professional development to stay current with technology and to add depth in focus areas of expertise

Required Qualifications:

Deltek Costpoint project accounting software is required.

To qualify for a Business Analyst 2:

  • High School Diploma plus 8 years experience evaluating business needs, testing application functions/upgrades, documenting solutions
  • Associate's Degree plus 6 years experience evaluating business needs, testing application functions/upgrades, documenting solutions
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years experience evaluating business needs, testing application functions/upgrades, documenting solutions

To qualify for a Business Analyst 3:

  • High School Diploma plus 10 years experience evaluating business needs, testing application functions/upgrades, documenting solutions
  • Associate's Degree plus 7 years experience evaluating business needs, testing application functions/upgrades, documenting solutions
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years experience evaluating business needs, testing application functions/upgrades, documenting solutions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Skilled in planning, organization time management
  • Excellent written and oral communication, basic understanding of business operations
  • Highly organized and able to deal with multiple continuously changing tasks/priorities and organizes complex information for use by management
  • Must be capable of self-directed management and execution of assignments and projects
  • Basic DBA experience to include creating, editing tables, views, and working with data.
  • Oracle 10g or higher experience
  • Basic experience with SQL query optimization and Oracle internal tuning
  • Experience with administration of Deltek Costpoint 7, Deltek Time and Expense 9.0, IBM Cognos 10.0, Weblogic Server 12c Administration and SQL Server 8 or higher is highly desired
  • Extensive experience developing change plans
  • Cyber security knowledge/expertise, particularly in creating and monitoring a system baseline configuration, hardening web servers and databases, implementing rigorous access control and change management procedures, continuous monitoring for indications of compromise, implementing backups and DR procedures, and assisting the user community with contingency planning
  • Experience in performing or assisting vulnerability management
