Cloud Architect

Key Role:

Serve as a Cloud engineer to perform technical tasks in support of the full Cloud technology stack for migrations and deployments, including internally to Booz Allen and within the industry during capture by representing the technical aspects of how Booz Allen’s Cloud capabilities solve specific client challenges. Display past performance experience with evaluations of technology standards, tools, products, and solutions to make rational, technical design decisions and communicate recommendations. Work closely to vet technology decisions and impacts to ensure value while minimizing disruption through the execution of successful deployment.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with software development or engineering

-1+ years of experience with supporting architecture development

-Ability to learn building, delivering, and managing Cloud solutions using Cloud platforms, including those provided by Rackspace, AWS, HP, Citrix, Eucalyptus, VMware, Terramark, and Microsoft

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS or Engineering or 4+ years of experience in a technical role

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DevOps situations and technologies, including Chef, Puppet, CFEngine, Zookeeper, and Capistrano 

-Experience with software development life cycle processes or Agile development, including Scrum, rapid prototyping, or a similar rapid development environment

-Knowledge of FedRAMP, ATO, and the implications of C&A and SA&A

-Knowledge of programming languages, including ActionScript, .NET, C#, C++, JavaScript, SQL, PLSQL, ASP.NET, PHP, Ruby, Python, or Node.js

-Knowledge of systems integration methods and frameworks and configuration management processes

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Cloud Architecture Certification from AWS, Microsoft, or other commercial Cloud provider
