SummaryAble to operate independently, the role holder is the primary client account and relationship manager for PDS. Independently manage all business aspects of the project / portfolio including:
SOR / project plan maintenance
Host and Lead New Business discussions with Client
Support business forecasting and reporting
Manage an appropriate number of active projects, ensuring all assigned projects are delivered on time managing the revenue and the budget
Lead the team to resolve all project issues and resource constraints affecting your portfolio.
Client meetings or correspondence (30%)
Responsible for relationship and account management for assigned clients/portfolios. Includes project expansion and business management as described below.
Be the primary client contact for assigned active and dormant projects. Managing routine or periodic contact with the client on Patheon’s behalf
Lead the assigned Project Team (Patheon and Client)
Drive client project deliverables in line with the defined responsibilities of each project team member
Business Management (20%)
Manage the Technical and Strategic Development of the project drawing on relevant Technical leadership from across the organization. The process includes generating and presenting resulting proposals to the client as appropriate
Manage client expectations efficiently. Maintain strong working relationships with all client representatives. Able to mend client relationships
Participate in strategic initiatives for PDS and clients.
Other project management duties (10%)
Directly manage or mentor Project Coordinators and Project Managers as required:
Provide training/development as required
Monitor and manage compliance to PDS Project delivery processes (PRIME)
Accurately evaluate the performance levels of direct report employees and communicate openly and with constructive feedback to fully develop potential.
Work with direct reports / PM team to implement and roll-out project management practices.
May manage complex projects from pre-formulation onwards independently.
Work with PMO and local team to continuously improve PRIME project delivery practices.
Mentor/train PMs / Functional Project Team members on PRIME and related processes as required.
May manage a portfolio of projects for major PDS clients.
Support or lead a global PM or PDS initiatives.
May own a PM/PDS process, responsible for training tools and associated change management
Facilitate positive team member interaction and manage conflict.
Represent or deputize for PM Senior staff as required.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years of industry experience
Well organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple project deliverables
Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and influence mothers
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently
Minimum Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)
Two of the following:
Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Doctorate (Ph.D.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
3 years proven experience in leading product development teams
5 years PM experience
5 years client management experience
2 years experience managing a department in the pharmaceutical industry.
