The Watts Water Quality (WWQ) DealerSales Manager, Residential will beresponsible for developing and executing aggressive growth strategies and comprehensivesales plans to further penetrate the DealerNetwork Channel with emphasis in the Residential/Retail market segment. This position will manage and direct all daily and long range activities in US. Activities will includesales management, customer relationships, new business development, proposal development and quotations, pricing strategies,contract development and management, and maintaining the opportunity funnel. The DealerSales Manager, Residential will beresponsible to deliver the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) for the region and to make solid short term and long termbusiness decisions. This positionreports to General Manager, Residential WWQ.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Manages and directs all daily and long range activities of the United States to include sales management, customer relations, inventory control, proposal development and quotations, pricing strategies, and managing channel conflict
  • Shows leadership in the development of a sales team to service and demonstrate our commitment to meet the needs of the customer
  • Participate in the creation of the annual orders and sales plan, quarterly forecasts, and execute plans to meet the WWQ AOP (Annual Operating Plan) targets through strategic account planning
  • Drive and implement business initiatives to trigger growth
  • Manage Sales/Marketing efforts within the defined region
  • Help customers select the equipment they require based on current product offering
  • Provide input to marketing, product management, and product development to create leading-edge products and services positioned to leverage WWQ Residential/Retail strengths
  • Understanding the vertical markets, its customer’s needs, and the competitor landscape
  • Achieve industry-leading customer satisfaction via best in class training, coaching and development
  • Build long-term relationships with customers and strengthen WWQ’s image with industry luminaries
  • Attend trade shows and industry events as required to represent our products in the marketplace
  • Share best practices and help formulate strategies for identifying, developing, and managing new business channels by leveraging synergies across Watts’s platforms
  • Coordinate with sales forces of other Watts platforms and regions to implement account strategies and close orders
  • Be the voice of the customer and promote customer centric mindset
  • Responsible for driving pricing initiatives by collaborating with product management and ensuring they have necessary market intelligence
  • Break down internal barriers and be a catalyst for platform success
  • Proficiency of personal computer skills to include spreadsheets, word documents, and main frame operating systems
  • Ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with management, internal and external customers
  • Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
  • Able to work and foster a harmonious working relationship with co-workers
  • Ability to assist customers in developing forecasts, anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues

EDUCATION:

  • Administration, Engineering, or related Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA is preferred

MANAGEMENT:

  • No Direct Reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years’ experience in sales environments
  • Extensive sales management experience for a similarly-sized sales organization within a product company
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a sales strategy, targeting large, multi-year accounts, as well as short cycle sales to small and medium sized organizations
  • Success in implementing and leveraging CRM systems to grow existing accounts/relationships and to develop new customers
  • Demonstrated ability to simply communicate complex concepts into a compelling and concise manner
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and technical competency in using financialreporting tools.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts
  • Embraces and is motivated by change. Strong blend of analytical, decision making and creative problem solving skills
  • Microsoft Office and Main Frame operating systems a must 
  • Decision making and creative problem solving skills
  • Willing to train to become proficient in Advanced Water Treatment
  • Travels more than 50% of time
  • Other duties as assigned
