Business Intelligence Developer
Milwaukee Tool is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer in a fast-paced environment. We want developers that are detailed-oriented, passionate and have a keen business sense which is coupled with an entrepreneurial attitude.
Our developers work directly with the business and the BI team to architect and build solutions that solve real problems. As a BI Developer, you must thrive in an environment of the challenge of creating something amazing and where you don’t accept “we’ve always done it this way” as an explanation.
This position will play a critical role in building our data analytics environment as well as be a member of the growing BI team.

Build robust data structures to leave a legacy for end users to be amazed at the data solutions provided.
Imports and transforms data according to business requirements
Work with the end users to understand requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into an effective technical solution
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products
Leverages existing tools such as PowerPivot to create reports, including visualizations.
Gathers end user informational requirements and matches existing data and analysis determining if new development is required.
Effectively communicate and interact with business and technical personnel in solving complex business and technical problems.
Adhere to timelines and work well in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Expert knowledge of SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio
Advanced knowledge of Excel PowerPivot, .csv and other data formats
Experience working with data warehouses and OLAP cubes
Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI
Clear communication skills; the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non- technical internal clients
Be a self-starter, with the ability to learn new technologies
Experience with non-relational data a plus
Knowledge of data lakes a plus
Knowledge of programming languages a plus
Education & Business Experience:
College degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
3+ Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Architect
Expert-level knowledge of SQL Server and relational data
