Milwaukee Tool is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer in a fast-paced environment.   We want developers that are detailed-oriented, passionate and have a keen business sense which is coupled with an entrepreneurial attitude.

Our developers work directly with the business and the BI team to architect and build solutions that solve real problems.  As a BI Developer, you must thrive in an environment of the challenge of creating something amazing and where you don’t accept “we’ve always done it this way” as an explanation.

This position will play a critical role in building our data analytics environment as well as be a member of the growing BI team.

You should reconsider if this is the right role if:

You'd feel like a fish out of water without a well-defined traditional corporate structure.
You'd consider taking out the trash as being below you.
You're accustomed to using the phrase 'it's not part of my job description'

You'll be successful in this role if:

You’ve got a ton of experience but are willing to continue to grow and learn on the job.
You worry about the legacy you are leaving.
You're a closer - not a manager, a coordinator, or an idea person - but someone who loves to get stuff done, and done well (done means in production)
You are a “go-to” person because you're reliable, creative, creditable resourceful, and a great brand ambassador for the team.
You're articulate, persuasive, and a good listener.
You adapt, improvise and overcome
You look as pressure as a privilege.
You like to have fun with a team.
You are challenged to break the service paradigm so end users are shocked and tell their friends how good you are.

Build robust data structures to leave a legacy for end users to be amazed at the data solutions provided.
Imports and transforms data according to business requirements
Work with the end users to understand requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into an effective technical solution
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products
Leverages existing tools such as PowerPivot to create reports, including visualizations.
Gathers end user informational requirements and matches existing data and analysis determining if new development is required.
Effectively communicate and interact with business and technical personnel in solving complex business and technical problems.
Adhere to timelines and work well in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
