What you'll do:

You’ll be part of the Channel Communications team. We support communications to our frontline sales teams in stores, dealers and retailers. We arm our reps with all the information they need to provide exceptional customer experience via Intranet sites run by dotCMS.

As the dotCMS product owner, you will help define best in class experiences for our frontline sales reps and customers. You are the lead user of dotCMS and have a vision for our Intranet sites, focusing on continuous improvements. This means you must understand the communications strategy, the audience, the business and future trends to make sound decisions. You will help foster and build strong relationships with your team and stakeholders to effectively prioritize and execute on business initiatives for our online properties. By managing and prioritizing a backlog of user stories you will drive return on investment and help reduce team member effort. You’ll regularly refine and adjust your backlogs to reflect accurate scope, effort and priority as it becomes available from stakeholders.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with peers to build a vision and roadmap for our Intranet sites: MILO and Partners
  • Collaborating with a broad array of stakeholders and partnering with developers, facilitating conversations between the business and experts to cultivate ideas and build a focused strategy
  • Ensuring dotCMS features and architecture equipping the team portfolios of web analytics, social engagement, and knowledge management
  • Delivering on product management plans, defining user stories and milestones
  • Delivering a best in class online experience for our audience
  • Understanding the end-to-end salesexperience, identifying impacts of the business asks and making informed decisions for the communications platforms
  • Clearly articulating the sales representative and the business stakeholders experience when working with web developers and acting as the public face of the team to business stakeholders
  • Developing and prioritizing user stories, assessing risk, and monitoring and facilitating progress throughout the product lifecycle
  • Proactively working with the team to identify risks, prioritize them, and create plans to resolve in a timely manner
  • Communicating team status, announcing releases, demonstrating the solution to key stakeholders and organizing milestone reviews
  • Acting as the point of contact for issues and liaising with developers to prioritize and release fixes

Qualifications

 

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Highly-organized with a demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume of work
  • Ability to anticipate and manage unplanned work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and organizational transformation skill
  • Interpersonal, proactive communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively by building trust and strong rapport with various stakeholders across the business
  • Experience working in a Lean and Agile or a Service Design environment is an asset
  • Familiarity with CMS and QA practices in order to support developers
  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology or Business/Marketing
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Certified Professional (ACP) or similar is an asset
  • 5 years previous customer-facing web application development as a Product Manager/Owner.
