While most retailers are reducing headcount and closing locations and having to redirect their marketing strategies, we are already going in the right direction, and we are thriving in the digital world. As the Director of Digital Display Media, you will act as the day-to-day liaison between Rooms To Go and our media community. You will be able to lead a great team and provide input and execution of the strategic direction of our media plans and campaigns. As the Digital Media Director, you will be able to leverage your retailexperience, the knowledge you gain as a Rooms To Go insider, and current media technology to spark innovation. You will lead your team to set challenging goals, while prioritizing RTG objectives, and balancing those objectives with team needs and available resources.

  • Lead all direct through in-house digital display media planning and buying as well as lead digital agency partners planning and buying
  • Innovate and articulate by painting the big picture for the executive team, while breaking it down in to manageable pieces for your team to accomplish
  • Strategically develop and direct objectives that will match or complement RTG's marketing direction
  • Manage and direct all media partners, including social, mobile, and any other emerging digital media platforms
  • Direct team to create and coordinate content development as needed
  • Solve problems and create solutions with relation to media issues
  • Focus on the consumer and what the consumer perceives and needs
  • Provide direction and education opinion with regard to varying media channels
  • Data, data, data! Measure performance, provide feedback on objectives
  • Monitor the ROI
  • Understand use of VPAID/VAST
  • Experience in fraud management and identification activities
  • Build and lead a team of passionate analysts and specialists who love what they do and where they work

Must Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DigitalMarketing lead a team of +4 direct reports
  • Ability to manage a very significant budget in a highly accountable fashion
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Expert in using Google's suite of solutions including DoubleClick Campaign Manager, DoubleClick Bid Manager, and Google Analytics
  • Bachelor's degree from well-respected university, preferably in a marketing or quantitative field
  • Excellent Excel skills and data analysis
  • Complete knowledge of all aspects of Digital and Social Media
  • Solid understanding of interactive research tools and Google Analytics
  • Advanced understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements
  • Strong proficiency in advertising technology, such as DMP, Campaign Management, DSP and CDP, and media optimization, including attribution, retargeting, and testing
  • Knowledge of what defines good, great and world-class with respect to Digital Media performance
