Position Description: Candidate must have demonstrated a proven ability to work with CNRMC Department Heads in support of their efforts to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness across the RMCs pertaining to engineering, operations and process improvement. Previous experience in working with either CNRMC or a Navy Regional Maintenance Center is preferred. An in depth knowledge of the Joint Forces Maintenance Manual (JFMM) as well as a comprehensive understanding of the fleet Maintenance and Modernization Business Plan processes and the critical elements of Quality are essential.   A subject matter expert (SME) who cumulatively possess in-depth knowledge of the Fleet Maintenance Activity Assessment (FMAA) and the JFMM is preferred. Previous experience in conducting comprehensive reviews of current OPNAV, Fleet, and local instructions associated with conventional surface ships quality standards and procedures for availability maintenance and equipment initial installation is required. Candidate must also have demonstrated their knowledge and ability to manage SMEs who will support CNRMC and surface ship maintenance initiatives including, but not limited to: Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP), Surface Ship Readiness Initiative (SSRI), Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA), and availability closeout and certification to support all Navy directives associated with conventional Surface ship maintenance.
Previous experience in conducting comprehensive reviews of current OPNAV, Fleet, and local instructions associated with conventional surface ships quality standards and procedures for availability maintenance and equipment initial installation is required. Candidate must be able to describe your ability to perform the tasks listed above in an integrated manner. Position Duties The PM organizes, directs and coordinates planning and production of all contract support activities and is responsible for managing subordinate personnel, including assigning tasks, scheduling and reviewing work, explaining policies, purposes and goals of the company and applicable to the contract to subordinates. Must apply quality assurance measures to the management and performance of the contract.
  Position Qualifications 20 years of engineering management experience in surface ship maintenance and operations.   Experience includes senior level expertise in both engineering and budget/financial areas.
Fleet Maintenance Support experience, shipboard systems engineering, Engineering Duty Officer. Technical Authority   An Engineering Duty Officer background is strongly preferred.
Security Requirements: Active secret clearance required
Travel Requirements: Must be available to travel 20% within CONUS.
