Under general supervision, the Strategic Account Executive is responsible for actively identifying and pursuing new electric sales opportunities  and retaining and building existing profitable business  in the market to enhance Company revenues.  Implements  and promotes marketing products and services.   Serves as a single point-of-contact with assigned customers for any issues related to electric service, while developing a strong business relationship through responsive and professional customer  service.  Is the primary liaison between the customer and all areas of the Company. Advises customers regarding Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes and maintains professional relationships with key customers  personnel (facility managers, engineers and/or corporate HQ
  • personnel)  through a systematic  and consistent account management program.
  • Serves as the primary contact for the Company and is responsible for all Company interaction with the assigned accounts; maintains a computer-based account management system.
  • Identifies opportunities and new products  for the product development process
  • Implements  marketing strategies  and sales activities to expand business
  • Provides  customers with energy and operational solutions to meet organizational objectives
  • Identifies and promotes opportunities for energy usage I technology changes which improve customer's productivity and/or reduce costs of the final producUservice
  • Anticipates changes in the customer's utilization of energy and systematically and appropriately  appraises management of these developments

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degreed candidates must have five (5) years of recent  verifiable experience in sales or marketing within a heavy industrial or utility environment
  • Non-degreed candidates must have ten (10) years of recent verifiable experience in a sales or marketing environment  within a heavy industrial environment

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or other related discipline  from an accredited college/university
  • Sales/Marketingexperience specific to the electric utility industry
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with highly developed  interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Suite
  • Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring and/or coaching  within the sales/marketing function
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others
