As our Strategic Account Executive, you'll optimize Nike sales by achieving sales goals with your assigned account base. You'll develop accurate and realistic seasonal assortments, forecasts and scenario plans. You'll also identify product opportunities and execute product strategies; stay current on product and product changes; and display strong customer service skills by developing and maintaining relationships with key customer personnel at all levels of the customer's business. This opportunity also involves soliciting and submitting orders and ensuring timely coordination of order tracking, order confirmation, cancellations/Return-To-Stock summaries and delivery information. In addition, you'll increase sell-in and sell-through by preparing, planning and delivering clear and persuasive merchandising and product presentations.


  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is preferred
  • 5 to 7 years' overall industry business experience from sales, retail management, marketing, merchandising, sales operations and/or product
  • 4 years' field salesexperience
  • 2 to 3 years' salesexperience with a large regional, national and/or strategic account is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with large accounts with revenue of $15-20 million is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of athletic industry and trends in the marketplace
  • Ability to prepare, plan and deliver clear and persuasive sales presentations
  • Understanding of competitive market, customer and retail trends
  • Solid understanding of sales programs, policies and procedures
  • High level of retailer business operations and high degree of retail math fluency
  • Proven track record of problem resolution with complex business issues
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis and business planning
  • Development of seasonal assortments, forecasts and scenario plans
  • Merchandising and product presentation experience is preferred
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to coach and guide customers
  • Ability to persuade and influence people to take desired action
  • Exceptional communication skills, including ability to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully and manage and resolve conflict
  • Proven track record managing accounts and protecting brand strategies is strongly preferred
  • Proven success working in a dynamic fast changing environment with elements of ambiguity
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to lift and carry samples and bags weighing up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to work varied business hours, including some weekend work
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
