Essential Functions• Creates and executes test plans and clear, concise test scripts for new products or enhancements to existing products• Defines comprehensive scenarios and variations in data to adequately perform testing• Schedules and performs functional, integration, regression, and release testing• Submits errors and issues to development for correction, and retests once errors have been corrected• Reports test results and status as appropriate• Tracks defects and causal analysis to closure• May review and certify test results of other analysts and testers• Creates and/or reviews requirements, design, and scope documents• Helps to set standards for test design• Supports and advocates established testing procedures and may provide input to establish those procedures• Interacts with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and development teams to identify and refine test requirements• Coordinates and/or performs testing projects from initiation through delivery• Ensures that testing projects are completed on schedule and within budget• Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met• May create and maintain test libraries, databases, and test environments• May assist with any software changes for documentation update or correction• May assist with automated scripts from team members• May cross-train and mentor less experienced QA team members


Knowledge & Skills• Able to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple and complex projects• Good knowledge of automated QA systems• Good knowledge of software development lifecycle• Good knowledge of software testing lifecycle• Business domain knowledge• Able to modify testing development or to suit the environment/product


Duties & Responsibilities• Developing testing solutions that meet needs of care centers, clients, and customers• Leading test efforts for projects that impact core system applications, which includes acting in a leadership role to acquire test data and ensuring proper tests are executed in all testing environments• Driving the 3 Amigos discussions of acceptance criteria• Must work with developers to create test cases for each acceptance criteria and the writing of scripts• Must work in a team environment to ensure execution of smoke, functional, and regression tests in the CI, Test, UAT & Production regions• Must have strong technical aptitude and analytic background needed to understand core applications and Alliance Data infrastructure• Ability to mine for data using SQL to validate test results• Exposure to automated testing preferred


Technical Requirements • Ability to utilize SQL or SQL Developer to query database to identify test accounts, research problems, or complete testing   Experience • Requires 2 years of related quality assurance, technical, or business experience   Education • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
