Responsibilities:

  • Engage with TELUS prospects and customers at all levels within the organization and across different lines of business (i.e. operations, marketing, advertising, planning and market research)
  • Engage with Account Managers and the greater account team (othersales specialists and customer solution engineers) to actively pursue a targeted list of customers to drive forward opportunities
  • Identify and initiate opportunities, qualify them, and manage funnel to meet growth and revenue commitments
  • Develop lasting and valued business relationships with clients and industry influencers, ensuring TELUS' role as a trusted advisor
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge and expertise regarding our customers, their industries and their ecosystems
  • Influence RFP content, manage competition, and drive change as it relates to customers' strategic plans and influential decision-making
  • Support customers’ technical questions and post-sales issues
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements as required

Qualifications

 Required Knowledge:

  • Advanced understanding of geo-spatial analytics and the industry’s range of data-driven solutions and offerings used for retail and real-estate planning, market research, operations, marketing and advertising
  • Ability to discuss customer solution benefits with solid business/financial acumen
  • Strong decision making skills to determine the most appropriate solutions and ability to manage customer expectations through change management
  • Excellent written and presentation skills deliverable to C-level
  • PC skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases

Required Technical Knowledge:

  • Experience with geo-spatial analytics solutions
  • Some experience with Big Data and integration sales
  • Deep understanding of Web and API architecture
  • Conversant in common Internet technologies and protocols (HTTP, SSL, OAuth, REST, JSON, XML, etc.), understanding the pros and cons of each
  • Knowledge of web-based technologies and programming languages
  • Some experience in software development and APIs/web services and associated tools
  • Strong understanding of SaaS

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Business degreepreferred

Required Experience:

  • 8-10 years of salesexperience in consulting services or strategic sales, ideally with Enterprise accounts
  • Mastery of the technical sales process - identifying and understanding customer strategic needs.
