Within ISR & Space Systems we design and manufacture Environmental Control and Life Support Systems on the International Space Station, including the space suit, and undersea in submarines.
ISR & Space Systems Windsor Locks is looking for energetic and highly motivated candidates for its Engineering Organization. Management of a diverse group of engineers and technicians responsible for the execution of $3-5M of company funded R&D, with the primary responsibility of developing technical discriminators to support future business growth. Serve in technical marketing capacity, working closely with Business Development, to provide periodic technical presentations to the various NASA centers of UTAS CFE efforts. Support the development of business strategies and associated technology roadmaps, with alignment to customer roadmaps and available CFE budgets. Provide support as needed for the generation of new business proposals. Provide resources for the contract research and development (CRAD) activities. Assure that the engineering laboratories are efficiently managed and have the necessary resources to support the varied needs of development and program support activities.
Qualification: Minimum of 15years in pertinent engineering development, R&D, and technical marketing with emphasis in environmental control and life support systems. Candidate should have a solid understanding of state of the art air and water revitalization technologies including trace contaminant control via adsorption and catalytic oxidation, carbon dioxide removal and reduction, multifiltration, ion exchange, pertinent electrochemical processes such as electrolysis and further loop closure technologies such as Bosch and Carbon formation. A high level understanding of thermal control technologies including single phase and two phase passive and pumped loops is also desired.
