Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. (HTA), an innovator in the field of scientific instrumentation, has and opening for a Southeast Section Sales Manager in its Nanotechnology Systems Division. NOTE: Position will work from Southeastern U.S. territory. No specific city/state has been determined. POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Southeast Section Sales Manager assumes full responsibility for the sales performance of his/her region against fixed or negotiated company sales achievement goals. The primary duty for this position is the selling of Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. (HTA) equipment at company assigned gross margin levels as well as a diversity of sales within HTA product mix to achieve sales in the various Electron Microscope (EM) markets. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: · Sales of the entire product line with the responsibility to attain assignedsales quotas;· Maintain regular customer contact to communicate and update new and existing customers concerning new products,trade shows andotherevents related to HTA business;· Forecasting of business opportunities on a weekly, monthly, quarterly & bi-annual basis, or as requested bysales management;· Participation and/or preparation in HTAsales meetings;· Accomplish any special assignments provided by HTA Management;· Manage territorysales calls, demonstrations, road shows, forecast meetings, service meetings, along with managing customer andinternal teleconferences whererequired;· Participate in and attend local EM society meetings within assigned territory to promote HTAtechnologies;· Maintainsalesdatabase and provide accurate and reasonable equipmentforecasting;· Maintain a professional and ethical image of HTA;· Communicate any technical input and/or comments from customer base to appropriate Product/Marketing department(s) for future product improvements/requirements, as well as customerrequired design changes in existing products;· Design territory coverage to maximizesales opportunities in a cost effective manner;· Communicate effectively with Product Marketing department to ensure dissemination of technical informationinternally and to customer base;· Generate accurate and detailed lost orderreports;· Develop and maintain OEM relationships;· Work and communicate effectively with the Service Dept. for pre-sales and after-sales support of customers;· Attend and participate intrade shows, seminars, workshops, etc.;· Provide data for mailings on tool introductions, in-house seminars,marketing materials and generalpromotions;· Maintain a working relationship betweensales andother company departments (i.e. Public Relations, Service, Product, andSales Administration);· Contact, Support, andSales Management of current Hitachi customers;· Provide strategic planning for targeted markets and large accounts;· Attend periodic “Action Requirement” meetings as needed by certain customers;· Monitor service/support for customers to assure customer satisfaction;· Supplyrequired/requested documentation in a timely manner;· Management of expenses andbudgets;· Participate in ongoing technical training for product set;· Timelyreporting ofsales calls, meetings, expenses, demo requests, sample submissions, customer training requests, conferences, etc.;· Develop innovative strategies to penetrate high-level accounts with ability to communicate on all levels throughout a corporation (i.e.: Lab, Executive offices, Purchasing).
