Job Description Summary

Responsible for directly supporting customer internal accounts and serving as the focal point to shape and align the business strategy of the account and the overall real estate strategy ofour client.

Responsibilities

  • Remain knowledgeable on real estate, commercial construction, and current trends in workplace strategy to help guide solutions when supporting the accounts
  • Understand the specific business (current account and program headcounts, program contract period of performance, new work pipeline, etc.) of their accounts and be able to tailor solutions in support of the business
  • Manage multiple projects through the life cycle, with significant responsibility in vetting requirements to ensure they are aligned with contractual requirements and established financial forecasts
  • Direct the brokerage team for their specific projects and ensure they are aligned with the client’s  interest
  • Oversee and coordinate client side and vendor side team members in the execution of new lease acquisitions, disposition of surplus space through sales, subleasing, and early lease termination buyouts
  • Implement real estate plans with an understanding of the client's strategic real estate goals
  • Assist with project initiation and scope definition, prioritization of assignments, and adherence to client-driven priorities, commitments, and milestones
  • Develop, review and present a variety of analyses, such as: business cases to support specific real estate actions, portfolio opportunity and cost tracking reports, transaction oriented executive PowerPoint reports, vacancy tracking, responses to DCAA audit requests, construction budgets and schedule scenarios
  • Review leases and lease amendment to ensure compliance to client needs and legal objectives
  • Understand how to review, analyze, and interpret financial analysis templates including book and cash flow projections, NPV (net present value), and/or IRR (internal rate of return) financial analyses to enable clients to make more informed decisions; ability to prepare and present findings as persuasive business case
  • Ensure compliance with Company’s corporate policies as they relate to identifying and mitigating potential conflicts of interest
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with multiple accounts, ensuring that objectives are being met
  • Anticipate and respond to client's needs in timely manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of project management experience: construction, architecture or interiors preferred
  • Ability to work 100% on client site in Chantilly, VA
  • Proven experience managing real estate transactions with client user groups or any similar combination of education and experience
  • Certifications in field of study, PMP or similar designations preferred
  • Ability to prepare and track overall project budgets and schedules
  • Experience leading and managing numerous facets of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong working knowledge of Project Management software (MS Project or similar)
  • Working knowledge of capital improvement interiors construction projects
  • Ability to conduct periodic project meetings either onsite or via conference calls with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated customer/vendor relationship building experience
  • Excellent oral or written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented

Physical Requirements

  • Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type
  • Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand
  • Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays
