Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Marketing will assist with the planning, development, and execution of all marketing and communication efforts for Enrollment Management at Assumption College, which includes Undergraduate and Graduate divisions.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Assistant Director of Marketing will work closely with the Director of Marketing to build brand awareness and drive interest and enrollment for the College. This position will have a particular focus on enhancing and expanding our digital marketing efforts. The Assistant Director of Marketing will be responsible for:

* Managing marketing and communications programs, with a particular focus on web, social and email marketing

* Understanding and implementing inbound marketing techniques and best practices

* Utilizing HubSpot to develop and deliver email marketing campaigns, landing pages, forms, etc.

* Writing marketing content for print materials, emails, blogs, social media, website, landing pages, etc., with an understanding of adapting tone, voice and style for various channels; proofing and editingother's content

* Managing Enrollment Management social mediachannels by developing content plans and calendars, monitoring and engaging in relevant social discussions, and running campaigns and contests in support of channel goals

* Assisting with email marketing campaign execution (familiarity with marketing automation software, A/B testing and email optimization needed)

* Assisting with website updates (familiarity with Drupal or other CMS platforms needed); ensuring content is optimized for search engines

* Actively tracking, analyzing and reporting on digital marketing efforts (web, social, email), and developing strategies to improve effectiveness of these initiatives to meet goals

* Directing and managing designers, writers, and web developers

* Monitoring of competition's websites, social media, and marketing tactics

* Project managing across multiple teams and projects to ensure all deadlines are met

* Collaborating with agencies and other vendor partners

* Staying current on digital marketing best practices, strategies, and industry standards in order to improve our overall effectiveness


Requirements:

* Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the college as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption College

* Proven experience managing marketing and communications programs, with particular expertise in the digitallandscape, including inbound marketing techniques and best practices

* Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform decisions

* Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across divisions

* Strong organizational and project management skills with proven ability to develop project plans, manage various team members, including third-party vendors, toward a determined goal and deadline

* Self-starter who owns his/her own success metrics and is comfortable working independently toward a goal

* Experience enforcing brand guidelines

* Experience with HubSpot or other similar marketing automation software

* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

* Experience with website content management systems

* Knowledge of paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search (Google AdWords), retargeting, social network advertising (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)

* Recommended three to five years of experience with a proven record of success in marketing and communication program development and execution

* Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college required
