The Successful Technical Specialist Manager Will Have the Following Key Accountabilities:
 

  • Set and implement development and technical documentation standards, and ensure that they are adhered to.
  • Enforce HYG ABAP programming, transport management and GRC request standards,
  • Enforce HYG GIL PI interface strategy
  • Enforce Development/Quality instance clean-up of abended change transports
  • Enforce HYG security object standard in all SAP ABAP developments
  • Work with the Testing Lead to coordinate regression testing with all installed user groups for all new and changed business solutions
  • Create and maintain SAP ABAP standard operating procedures.
  • Manage and mentor the technical development team, comprising of external project consultants, internal HYG staff and our partner development team.
  • Drive quality solutions with minimum rework.
  • Work with the core SAP / Global Transferrable Model management team to formulate a global technical design and deployment strategy for SAP.
  • Act as Integration Manager for all GTM /SAProllout projects
    • Ensure that individual module solutions are consistent with cross functions solutions and existing deployed solutions
    • Manage and lead the technical ABAP and PI team members by assigning and tracking RICEFW development status.
    • Manage and lead off-shore technical ABAP and PI team members
    • Manage PI interface development and testing with coordination with HYG legacy staff.
    • Manage project EAM request approvals and verifications
    • Manage project transport strategy – logging and sequencing
    • Coordinate with Basis team on technical issue resolution
      • OSS note research and deployment
      • Response time issues
  • Provide technical recommendations.
  • Support, upgrades and Disaster Recovery.
    • Ensure a proper system landscape based on the input from Basis and Infrastructure managers.
    • Keep the landscape up to date with OSS notes, support packs, and enhancement packs.
    • Co-ordinate with Basis and Infrastructure teams 1 disaster recovery rehearsal per year.
  • Work with non-SAP technical managers to co-ordinate interface strategies.
  • Work with Project teams to fill the Integration Manager role.


The successful Technical Specialist Manager will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

  • IT-related Bachelordegreepreferred or Associates degree with IT technical focus considered.
  • 8-10 years related IT technical experiencerequired.
  • Multi-site people overview and both direct and indirect staff management experience, training, self-awareness, proven delivery of results required.
  • Project Management Institute exposure and practice or NPMM Training required. Experience managing technical resources, vendors and projects
  • Strong communication skills
    • Needs to have the ability to talk at a technical level to the development team and non-technical at a management level.
  • Extensiveexperience with development ofSAPsystems in several or all of the following areas:
    • Netweaver ECC 6.0:
    • Object Oriented ABAP
    • Remote Function Calls
    • BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface)
    • LSMW
    • SMARTFORMS
    • SAP Query
    • Knowledge of PI and FIORI would be an advantage.
    • Some iSeries platform knowledge would be an advantage, but not necessary.
    • Manufacturing functional  experience  would be an advantage
