ON Semiconductor Imaging is looking for a Test Development Engineer to support ATE testing and validation of CMOS image sensor products at test houses around the world. He/She will work closely with ON Semiconductorinternal teams and subcontractors on development, testing and troubleshooting CMOS image sensor products in both wafer and package part environments.


  • Develop code and software tools that will help improve the test development process
  • Interact with domestic and international team members to solve test subcontractor as well as ON Semiconductor product problems
  • Support the development and deployment of test hardware
  • Develop expert knowledge in multiple products to support yield enhancement and test development activities
  • Support the operations group and product managers as first technical contact for product testing issues
  • Perform product debug and characterization




Skills & Knowledge:

  • Required
  • BS in ElectricalEngineering or a related discipline is required
    • Good spoken and written English skills for communicating with team members from various domestic and international sites
    • ATE experience, particularly on Teradyne platforms
    • Statistical data analysis with tools such as Excel or JMP or equivalent
    • Programming in high level languages such as C, C++ and/or Visual Basic
    • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
    • Able to manage priorities of multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment
    • Able to utilize engineering test hardware (for example, oscilloscopes) to debug part related issues
  • Beneficial
    • Direct experience with CMOS image sensor products
    • Experience in semiconductor failure analysis processes and methods
    • Detailed data mining through Perl or Python scriptinglanguages
    • Production process management
    • Experience supporting production products including yield enhancement, failure analysis, test flow development and developing more efficient test processes
    • Knowledge of semiconductor packaging materials and methods and their effects on part behavior
    • Knowledge of optics related to imaging devices.
