FMC Corporation has an opening for a Senior Transfer Pricing Analyst to assist with driving global transfer pricing planning, execution, reporting, and controversy management. The Senior Transfer Pricing Analyst will be a member of FMC’s global transfer pricing group and work on all aspects of transfer pricing regarding FMC’s inter-company transactions. The ideal candidate must be comfortable partnering with business operations within the organization to develop and promote the implementation of a cross-functional transfer pricing operating model that facilitates business operations, optimizes tax efficiency, and adequately mitigates risk. Therefore, the position requires the ability to understand business operations with the ability to integrate complex tax concepts within appropriate frameworks.
Accordingly, the Senior Transfer Pricing Analyst will liaise with regional and business unit professionals to acquire necessary data to perform certain analyses as well as to advise collaborate effectively with applicable key stakeholders within the Global Tax function, Corporate Finance, and the lines of business to facilitate the accurate and timely implementation of transfer pricing strategies.
The role will be responsible for documenting material transfer pricing transactions in reports to be used for local country tax compliance, maintaining the transfer pricing database of all inter-company transactions, and performing comparable searches as necessary.
Ø Drive the preparation of contemporaneous transfer pricing reports for all legal entities, such that they comply with the relevant transfer pricing requirements and support positions, reliable enough to withstand questioning under audit by taxing authorities
Ø Assist in preparing and reviewing country by country submissions
Ø Prepare and independently review economic analyses to benchmark the arm’s length nature of global intercompany transactions
Ø Perform testing on intercompany transactions to determine whether adjustments should be made to transfer prices and ensure such calculations are executed accurately
Ø Draft and maintain intercompany agreements to properly document and support transfer prices
Ø Develop and maintain excel models to monitor intercompany service and tangible transactions
Ø Evaluate and monitor arm’s-length nature of intercompany financial transactions
Ø Identify and communicate issues that may surface from business operations with respect to a particular legal entity’s transfer prices
Ø Continuously partner with Finance and IT to obtain an understanding of information systems and data collection to independently identify, analyze, determine, and test transfer prices for intercompany transactions
Ø Must have a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance; Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, MS, JD, PhD) preferred
Ø The role requires an individual with tax/accounting experience with at least five years working on global transfer pricing matters, preferably experience with a Big 4 or other recognized law/consulting firm
Ø The role requires a broad foundational knowledge of global transfer pricing laws and regulations
Ø An up-to-date knowledge of worldwide legal developments in transfer pricing (i.e., BEPS),
Ø An excellent business acumen with a sound understanding of the transfer pricing implications for a multi-national company
Ø Experience in conducting economic analysis and searches to derive internal and external comparables and conducting functional and industry analyses in order to prepare transfer pricing documentation (e.g., OneSource, Royalty Stat, Amadeus, Orbis, ktmine, etc.)
Ø The candidate must be detail oriented, have the ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal guidance, and be agile by accepting concurrent tasks within fast paced environment with the ability to deliver results with a high degree of accuracy
Ø Experience with tax software and accounting systems and a proven ability to segment data for transfer pricing purposes
Ø Strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Word skills
Ø Experience conducting complex financial modeling using Excel
Ø Precise written and verbal communication skills
Ø Strong project management capabilities with the ability to navigate through a large matrix organization to get things done
