Duties & Responsibilities

Applies Aflac’s Benefit Realization Framework to strategic portfolios to proactively identify, quantify, and track the realization of benefits used to justify the return on investment; identifies financial and non-financial benefits; identifies and tracks benefit triggers, dependencies, timing and expectations


Partners with FP&A to validate models, assumptions, and calculations of expected financial benefits; collaborates with initiative leads to generate regular and ad hoc analytics; creates value trees and NPV models for all initiatives


Provides insight on streamlining processes; audits and evaluates systems and procedures effectiveness and ensures the consistent application of accounting pronouncements and policies; remains current on all technological aspects necessary to produce and support financial and analytical reports


Partners with and provides hands on support to impacted business units to gain commitment to benefits; establishes and maintains effective working relationships with business partners; partners with CI/MI to identify, validate and measure non-financial benefits; stays abreast of current trends and regulatory changes in the industry and recommends alternative business practices, procedures, solutions and strategies based upon best practice research


Gathers and analyzes data and reports that pertain to the overall operation of the IDO and completes reports summarizing activities and trends; reports results to various governing bodies; assists in strategic and tactical operational plans to ensure achievement of company and departmental goals; performs independent review of problem situations; develops solutions and implements actions to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction; reviews processes and procedures to streamline activities to enhance service turnaround time, productivity, and quality


Works with Value Realization team to lead the establishment and maintenance of benefit activities within SEMO; provides actionable analysis to drive decision making, accounting for complex inter-dependencies and scope/quality management


Performs other related duties as required



Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of eight years of professional job-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience


Three years in a professional leadership capacity overseeing operational efficiencies


Experience in the insurance industry (preferred)
