The Business Analyst (BA)position reports directly to the Director, Project Management Organization, and will be a key influencer in building and growing the PMO.  The main goal of the PMO is to assist the organization in improving productivity and overall performance. Any candidate must be able and willing to operate in a fast-paced environment and rapidly change focus and priority based on the needs of the organization.   Outside of individual projects, the BA will help mold the strategic direction of Business Analysis across the organization in a quickly-growing PMO.  The BA will provide consultation to all business areas of the company, collaborate with team members on parallel projects, and support relevant stakeholders with visibility across the entire organization.  He or she will be responsible for creating business analysis tools and techniques unique to the needs of Aegis.  The BA should have a strong understanding of business strategy and aligning project portfolios with corporate goals. The Business Analyst works independently and exhibits a high degree of initiative in resolving problems encountered and developing recommended solutions.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • ·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field required
  • ·         A minimum of five (5) years of business analyst experience or equivalent Aegis experience (which meets the requirements to sit for Business Analyst Certification) required
  • ·         Business Analyst Certification (CBAP or PMI-PBA) strongly preferred
  • ·         Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel
  • ·        Strong business analysis understanding and ability, including:
    • o   Knowledge of existing tools for requirements development and requirements management
    • o   An understanding of how to practice requirements engineering according to several software development life cycles in a team environment
    • o   Solid mathematical aptitude and knowledge of project management concepts
    • o   Ability to analyze and document complex business processes and make effective decisions under pressure
  • ·         Ability to think analytically, be an effective problem solver and gather and interpret relevant data and information
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, handle multiple business and technology assignments concurrently, and work with confidential information on a regular basis
