As the Creative Services Manager, you will own the vision and execution of market-facing look and tone for all Allsteel marketing materials. You will also coordinate with a team of designers and writers (internal and external) to execute compelling marketing campaigns, sales materials, and online content to drive customer engagement, revenue, and brand awareness. This position leads the creative side on all strategic projects, manages internal client relationships, and oversees the quality of the creative work generated in-house or through external resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership and review work of assigned members. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend merit increases, promotions, transfers, corrective actions and other personnel actions. Interview and recommend candidates for employment. Drive member engagement.
•Lead a team of external and internal writers and designers, providing creative services to support Allsteel’s branding, marketing, and sales communications efforts.
•Create content for a wide breadth of marketing campaigns and tactics, including, but not limited to, brochures, presentations, proposals/RFP responses, email, websites, look books, white papers, infographics, photography, graphic design, technical specification documents, and trade show exhibits.
•Manage external resources or deliver on full creative from concept to execution.
•Define and utilize standardized designs/templates and tone for all marketing collateral that is consistent with Allsteel corporate branding guidelines.
•Champion a culture which sees creative as a tool to stimulate demand, generate leads, and grow revenue.
•Manage the creative process from concept to completion.
•Manage the organization of all creative assets, their source files, etc. so that internal customers can easily locate and self-serve.
•Conduct status and project kick off meetings, track project deliverables, gather status updates from project stakeholders and identify project issues.
•Balance creative vision, business goals, technical considerations, and operational requirements.
•Work cross functionally across the organization to identify goals and priorities relating back to the overall corporate initiatives.
•Collaborate with the team to develop integrated marketing campaigns that includes digital and traditional materials for new product launches.
•Manage all external creative agency and freelance partners.
•Receive and manage all requests for creative work product from around the organization.
•Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy of final work is aligned with brand standards.
•Continually evaluate creative processes, identify and implement process improvements.
•Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
Experience/EducationRequired and/or Preferred
•Bachelor’s Degree required.
•At least 5 years’ experience directing and delivering creative (traditional and digital) required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required and/or Preferred
•Passion for working with technical individuals and a proven ability to distill complex concepts into easy to understand creative assets required.
•Advanced skills working in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator) and Powerpoint.
•Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, and Flash software preferred.
•Ability to work cross functionally in teams to develop creative materials and sales campaigns.
•Demonstrated critical thinking ability, strong organization and multi-tasking skills with an attention to detail.
•Basic photography skills preferred.
•Basic print knowledge preferred (digital, spot color, CMYK processes, etc.).
•Ability to design and implement best practices and optimal processes across a collaborative group of creatives, marketers and other internal customers required.
•Consultative approach and an aptitude for translating marketing objectives into clear creative strategies and processes required.
•Adept at managing schedules and resources, foreseeing and avoid scheduling conflicts, and taking quick action when schedules get compressed or delayed required.
•Passion for prioritizing work and managing dozens of concurrent projects based on value to business, effort to achieve, and data available to measure success required.
•Creative, analytical, and organizational strengths to drive organizational improvements required.
•Strong coaching skills to provide clear creative direction with proven ability to recruit and manage multiple external designers required.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, confidently working on both strategy and tactics required.
