Bloomberg BNA seeks a smart, high-energy Senior Business Development Manager to help expand its monitoring and business intelligence platform; BNA Convergence.
BNA Convergence provides content, context and delivery methods so that customers are able to easily cut through the noise to know the critical business information they need, when they need to know it.
The Sr. Business Development Manager is responsible for selling to leading corporations across the globe. This role requires an experienced, confident sales professional who has a proven track record of engaging with and building relationships with senior level management. The successful candidate will have demonstrable success in B to B new business development and platform sales.
Knowledge of the core market drivers and dynamics across the business intelligence monitoring marketplace (such as Meltwater, Cision, LexisNexis Newsdesk, Critical Mention, etc) is a plus, as is exposure to compliance management/tracking, or regulatory information systems.
- Develop, manage, and grow his/her client base by engaging with and building strong relationships with senior level executives within client organizations
- Execute on and contribute to the overall commercial strategy of the business.
- Represent Bloomberg BNA at relevant industry events and conferences.
- Develop an understanding of products, competitors, target markets and clients to maximize sales and revenue generation.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
3-5 years’ experience selling marketing services or other relevant B2B products; experience in consultative sales; exposure to compliance management/tracking, or regulatory information systems is preferred; demonstrate successful skills selling high-end B to B technology products; commitment to winning and creating profitable sales growth of platform products; proven track record developing and growing revenue by creating beneficial client relationships with senior business executives in multinational companies; knowledge of the core market drivers and dynamics across the business intelligence monitoring marketplace (such as Meltwater, Cision, LexisNexis Newsdesk, Critical Mention, etc); ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple levels of cross-functional groups within the company; capacity to understand the wider issues of the target industry with a highly developed business acumen; excellent verbal and written business communication skills; ability to leverage industry event contacts and product user groups to gain market intelligence and increase market interest; strong presentation, communication, negotiation, leadership and closing skills. Bachelor’s degree required.
