Role Purpose The Decision Orchestration Lead will work closely with the Senior Vice President of Customer Experience to lead and grow a Service Line providing solutions that align audiences & experiences to create the best possible customer interactions that lead to positive business outcomes for our clients.   This is a leadership role that must be able and willing to both be a coach and a player.  This Service Line will be providing audience activation, decisioning, and testing services that optimize for our client’s desired business outcomes such as; life time value, next best offer, user experience and personalization.   The Decision Orchestration Lead will work closely with the client teams and will fulfill the critical roles of: overall project leadership, developing and presenting strategic solutions to key client stakeholders, relationship management and coordination and management of execution of the deliverables across sub-service lines of audience activation, decisioning, and testing.   Key Responsibilities

  • Skilled at selling large programs that drive global business value by leveraging data, analytics, and technology
  • Lead a cross functional team of highly skilled data driven marketers
  • Drive global thought leadership with deep domain expertise in marketing decisioning and machine learning
  • Develop and standardize best practices, operating models, and methodologies
  • Manage to revenue and profitability goals
  • Drive Client Success – have high visibility across the client and build relationships with key stakeholders
    • Develop a shared strategic vision with the client and the Merkle Team
    • Present concepts, documents and program information to applicable client stakeholders
    • Align account strategy and day to day delivery
    • Provide hands-on consultation in the areas of audience targeting, personalization, customer strategy, omni-channel messaging, and testing
    • ProvideInternal Team Management and Coordination – ensure Merkle is delivering to the client planSupport Client Growth/Retention/Satisfaction –work closely with Merkle Client Partner to successfully identify, sell,support and deliver opportunities across alldigitalchannels
      • Ultimate ownership of client deliverables
      • Lead engagement planning and budgeting, mobilize and manage engagement teams, define the structure and content of deliverables, facilitate client buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels, direct on-time, quality delivery of products, manage engagement economics and risk
      • Prioritize, communicate, problem-solve and bring positive energy to a focused and proactive team

    • 15+years ofexperience withdigitalmarketing and communications withexperience across the following:10+years ofexperience working in and leading teams in a professional services capacity:digital agency,digitalmarketing provider,digital software provider,digitalmarketing organization ordigitalconsulting firm.

      • Media:  Search, SEO, Paid Social, , and Data Insights
    • Dynamic and energetic leader, who not only has the ability to lead his/her own teams, but is also a strong presence cross-functionally and is viewed as a leader throughout the organization
    • Ability to persuade, influence and inspire through both verbal and written communication.  It is critical that this executive can synthesize complex issues into straightforward strategies and actions.
    • Proven ability to collaborate with teams to sell, build and execute account strategies.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment and be willing to partner with key executives across the organization.  
    • High degree of business acumen
    • Proven ability to independently make smart and accurate decisions that properly balance the needs of clients with the needs of the business.
    • Ability to bridge business, marketing and technology personnel at multiple levels within client organizations to influence decisions
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; Masters degreepreferred.
    • A self-starting orientation within a fast-paced environment with an intense desire/drive to “make things happen”
    • Preferred position location in Merkle core office locations but must have the ability to travel about 50%
    • Team leadership – ability to manage virtual teams: clients and internal
    • Firsthand experience with Data Management Platforms (DMP), Decision Management Platforms, specifically machine learning, and Testing/Optimization platforms.
