Responsible for leading and monitoring assigned performance improvement projects; mentoring PI Specialists; providing just-in-time PI coaching and training (Including Lean, Six Sigma, Rapid Cycle Improvement, etc.) to all leaders and colleagues; coordinating and leading all PI efforts within the assigned care site/business process; redesigning care delivery processes in partnership with improvement teams; and ensuring all projects yield sustained improvement. Leads the improvement projects for all our key clinical and/or revenue processes to yield reliable care delivery systems. Oversees mentoring of PI Specialist and Training and Education programs for the organization. Results will be measured in terms of care efficiency, care effectiveness, quality and regulatory compliance. Promotes a responsive, supportive, and learning environment through the personal demonstration of service excellence orientation, modeling the Franciscan Formation competencies and fulfillment of the core values of HSHS. Performs duties related to the business operations of the affiliate and exercises discretion and independent judgment.
Masters Degreerequired in an applicable field (i.e., Management Engineering, Nursing or other pertinent degrees).
Demonstrated competency in quality management, performance improvement and understanding of engineering management or operational redesign principles are required. Minimum of 7-10 years experience in quality/performance improvement field preferred. Recent experience in healthcare organization is preferred. Prior experience with management of large projects or operations management experiencerequired. Demonstrated computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; statistical software and flow documentation software such as Visio) required. Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) is preferred. Experience in Lean, Six Sigma and/or Systems Simulation is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Healthcare quality certification is preferred. Prior clinical training/experience is preferred. ASQ LeanSix SigmaBlack Belt Certification required. Valid driver's license required.
