RN PATIENT SERVICES MANAGER I - OP - UNC GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY AT REX-NUR00NJG
The UNC Gynecologic Oncology clinic located at the Rex Hospital Cancer Center in Raleigh, NC is seeking an independent, team-oriented, customer service focused Nurse Manager who will be responsible for clinical operations and personnel. At the direction of Clinical Director for the Off-Campus OB-GYN clinics and in collaboration with the Medical Director for the clinic, the successful candidate will provide direct care for gynecologic oncology patients as well as serve in a supervisory role for the clinical and administrative personnel. The successful candidate will exhibit flexibility, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the talent for motivating teams and individuals to accomplish goals.
Management duties include but not limited to: Ensure appropriate care and services are available to patients and families, ensure adequate and appropriate clinic and front desk staffing, perform annual performance reviews, participation in quality and process improvement initiatives, provide and facilitate an environment conducive to staff continuing education needs, address and manage human resources issues and patient complaints/issues, and optimize staff engagement and patient satisfaction. Effectively use clinical and financial information to establish and meet budgetary goals. Implements strategies to increase revenue and cost-effectively manage personnel, supply, and equipment resources. Evaluate the impact of strategic fiscal changes on quality outcomes. Facilitate relationships with referral practices in collaboration with the Physician Liaison team. Monitor EPIC Charge Review work queues on a regular basis in order to correct billing issues in a timely manner.
Clinical duties include direct patient care as follows: coordinating and delivering patient care, triage patient calls for advice, assist with exams and procedures including LEEPS, colposcopies and IUD insertion, phlebotomy, patient education, coordinating patient records and follow-up on diagnostic tests. Supervising the ordering of supplies and medications.
Supervisory and women's health care experience in gynecology and/or oncology in an ambulatory setting preferred. EPIC experience preferred. This is a full time 40 hour per week position with rotation for early/late clinic coverage as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Eighteen (18) months of professional nursing experience in a tertiary care setting to include didactic and clinical experience in the area of assignment.
