Manager, Sales Analytics


The Role:

Manager, Sales Analytics position is located in Toronto and will be responsibilities include informing and advising Sales management on key business decisions by making extensive and systematic use of data analysis and to execute sales business processes with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.  Manager Sales Analytics primary concern is to design, structure and communicate sales intelligence in line with new business strategies to allow for effective decision making for all lines of business.


What you will be doing:


Insights/Story Telling (25%)

  • Identify and explain unanticipated variations impacting sales effectiveness; specifically focused on sales performance, revenue, costs and behavior and provide recommendations to Sales SLT/ Wireless SLT
  • Provide pre and post implementation review in order to explain the risk/benefit related to sales programs
  • Own, understand, monitor and track performance (actual versus forecast), identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations on outcomes and special projects


    Analytics (25%)

  • Identify and analyze drivers for saleschannels, relative to expected performance and provide feedback to channel primes
  • Work with the business to further develop and build required models and analytics to support initiatives
  • Identify improvement opportunities, build business cases and influence senior leaders to drive changes
  • Ad-hocanalysis based on what is in current and future focus by senior leadership


    Forecasting/Target setting (15%)

  • Forecasting and help target setting the wireless product and KPI’s which help deliver the key priorities for the wireless and Rogers Bank LOB


Dashboard/Reporting: (15%)

  • Track KPI’s and analyze of sales performance and behavior across all saleschannels. Analyze drivers for saleschannels, relative to expected performance and provide feedback to sales management
  • Help generate weekly and monthly KPIreporting, performance scorecards to be presented to the senior leadership team


    Channel Strategy (20%)

  • Identify new opportunities to increase revenue, reduce churn and cut costs across Rogers’s customer base for all lines of business
  • Stay informed and educated on competitive landscape, market conditions and consumer/channel insights. Understand the factors driving market share and size for Telecom products and interpret the monthly/quarterly results and the impact in market share


What you bring:


  • 5+ years’ experience preferably in telecommunication / consulting industry
  • MBA / Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing/Finance
  • Strong business sense. Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation. Solution provider
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to analyze complex issues and synthesis key issues in a simplified manner
  • Ability to connect the dots and create the story linked by data points , strong problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong in data analysis, and evaluation (Knowledge of SQL coding skills, Statistical analysis, Advanced Excel, or SAS)
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently; Positive attitude and ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines is a must
  • Ability to multi-task and flexibility to work extended hours as required; Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
  • Excellent teamwork & collaboration skills; Build and foster relationships with channel primes to drive the business forward and ability to guide/coach team members
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to liaison with other groups and team members including Senior Management, up to SVP level
