Evonik has an immediate opening at our Mobile, AL location. This position leads and supports continuous improvement processes for the North America region, predominantly through the Six Sigma methodology. Thesupport is given through consulting, training curricula and project leadership & participation. The incumbent is perceived to be a leading authority on the DMAIC methodology within the company for the North America region.



  • Initiating and execution of projects as well as training and coaching (curricula) of Evonik employees with the goal of utilizing the Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodology for process optimization as well as product development
  • Consulting of the Evonik chemical segments in the area of continuous improvement processes
  • Project leader with full responsibility on methodologies, quality, cost, time-frame and know how protection for DMAIC projects
  • Performing analysis on cost reduction and turnover increase potential
  • Standardization of analysis and production management methodologies
  • Implementation and methodology transfer to/from other in-house sites
  • Close cooperation and networking with operative units, internal and external development units as well as the global competence centers
  • Support on building and maintaining internal customer contacts as well as cooperation with universities and research institutes
  • Support on marketing the methodology
  • Serve as a key contact point in the region


  • Successfully completed university degree in chemical engineering (Master or PhD)
  • Successfully completed black belt or master black belt education
  • General understanding of production / chemical production processes
  • Work experience in consulting or within manufacturing industry of at least 5 years
  • High quality standards on consulting
  • Strong background in mathematical and statistical methods (data engineering capabilities preferred)
