Duties and Responsibilities 

• The Primary function is to “Represent the Voice of the Customer” by Coordinating, Managing, and Facilitating the Quality Department to achieve “Ultimate Customer Satisfaction”. 

• Prepare, manage and control the department budget that meets or exceeds plant goals and objectives.

• Oversee, provide leadership for and coordinate activities for the quality function within the plant.

• Maintain and manage a trained qualified capable quality staff able to execute the quality processes, procedures, and responsibilities of the quality operating system 

• Maintain and submit plant consolidated reports (External PPM report, Quality Issues, Scorecard, Supplier Top 5, Supplier Performance Feedback System Reports, Quality Web Site, etc.) and act on reports to continuously improve.

• Track and maintain quality related costs (COPQ).

• Responsible for coordinating investigations and responses to customer complaints and corrective action system.
• Manage Customer Quality Rejects and Returned Material and 8D Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.

• Oversee process capability studies and quality audits.
• Monitor all customer Quality related web sites for compliance and current requirements. Develop and maintain procedural systems in accordance with TS16949/IATF and customer specific requirements.

• Participate in, sometimes champion, Internal and Preventative CAR’s and perform root cause analysis with action plan implementation 

• Participate and support in Continuous Improvement Activities (DOS, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, Black Belt, and ITS programs) 
• Implement quality systems and initiatives.
• Direct Advanced Product Quality Process (APQP/PPAP)
• Serve as liaison between local Plant and Division Quality Departments.

• Perform special instructions/request as determined by the Plant Manager 


Education and/or Experience 

• 4 Year College Degree or equivalent experience in a Quality Discipline required
• 5-7 years of Management Supervisor experience 
• Automotive component supplier manufacturing experience preferred 
• Program management experience 

Requirements 
• Excellent computer skills (Windows Office and Compliant Pro) 
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and time management skills
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse people at all levels both internally and externally in the company business. 
• Proficient in TS16949/IATF, AIAG, and Customer Specific requirements
• Proficient in Blueprint Reading, Specification Reading, and Measurements
• Proficient in capability studies, Gauge R&R studies, SPC, and GD&T 
• TS16949/IATF internal auditing training 
• Work overtime and travel as required

• ASQ or equivalent Quality Certifications is a plus
• Quality System tools experiencepreferred, i.e. DOE, FMEA, PPAP, GR&R, QFD, SPC, CPK, ISO/TS. CMM and related Metrology skills.

• Thorough understanding of process engineering principles.
• Statistical training.



Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology preferred and 5 or more years related experience.

  Proven problem solving skills with people management abilities and ability to work within a team environment. A strong servant leadership style
• Computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Must be able to handle stressful/pressure situations in a professional manner.
