As part of this transformation, we’re looking for a proven technology leader to serve as our Director of Sales & Service Systems. This leader will build a world-class compentency center around Sales & Service technology, creating innovative solutions that generate proactive customer engagement, increase productivity and enable our representatives to better satisfy the needs of our customers through the collective value proposition of the UTC businesses.

In this role, this leader will:

  • Engage with internal client executive sponsors, key stakeholders, and otherDigitalTechnology leaders to create a successful Sales & Service excellence center. Quickly learn, internalize and develop a strong understanding of key priorities and business, process and system requirements and develop service offerings and comprehensive digital solutions to address their needs
  • Concurrently manage multiple, strategic Sales & Service offerings for UTC. This will include all aspects of client engagement including overall program initiation, program management, internal business development, business case evaluation and prioritization, site visits, discovery and user research
  • Develop and manage a team, partnering with the businesses and DigitalTechnology leadership to formulate opportunities and communicate associated resourcing and funding needs in a proactive fashion
  • Introduce innovative new technology products and services by analyzing requirements, preparing return-on-investment analyses and establishing time schedules with technical members of the excellence center
  • Ensure that requisite data and process changes are implemented in accordance with overall project objectives and timelines, recognizing key risk areas for specific implementations
  • Partner with the UTC businesses and DigitalTechnology representatives to define the strategic vision for application environments that meet business needs while working to identify cost-out opportunities
  • Resolve conflicting priorities through the proactive communication of requirements and timelines with key stakeholders
  • Serve as a thought-leader in DigitalTechnology, helping to align with global standards and forward-looking technology trends
  • Deliver with the highest level of excellence, ensuring compliance and controllership always


  • Prior experience with multiple large scale, global CRM system solutions and application implementations
  • Ability to influence and interact with executive leadership and drive significant change in the area of Sales & Service
  • Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to guide multi-disciplinary and cross-business teams to successful outcomes in a matrixed environment
  • Experience in growing and managing a team, with demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others
  • Demonstrated customer focus, evaluating decisions through the eyes of the customer, building strong relationships and evidence in partnering with customers to help shape their future initiatives
  • Experience in driving significant change, with the ability to actively generate process improvements, champion and drive change initiatives, confront difficult circumstances in creative ways and balance multiple, competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, communicating in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluating information to make decisions, anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve
  • A passion for current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related business discipline(s).
  • Master’s Degreepreferred but not required
