Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Puget Sound area team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Operations Support
    • Participate in and oversee monthly Financial Close
    • Financial Statement Analysis and Variance Reporting
    • Write monthly financial performance memo
    • Accounts Receivable – provide oversight to invoicing, coordinate and lead monthly status meeting
    • Lead Cash Collection for operations, monitor DSO against plan
    • Working closely with Finance and non-Finance personnel to understand the current state of the business, performance variances, and opportunities and risks to future business success
  • Provide support to Operations Business Manager
    • Forecast & Annual Budgeting support
    • Proposal Pricing & document support
    • System Integration activities
    • Various financial projects support as needed

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related discipline; Accounting emphasis preferred
  • 5-8 years of related experience with an engineering, consulting, or professional services company
  • Ability to adapt and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High aptitude for learning and working in financial systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of accounting theory and financial reporting
  • Thorough understanding of reporting requirements and regulations in accordance with GAAP
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting systems. Financial system conversion and implementation a plus
  • Audit experience/interface with not only internal audit organization, but also outside auditors such as DCAA, DCMA and others a plus
  • A strong team player and contributor who proactively seek out ways to move the organization forward and take initiative to identify and drive improvements
