Industrial Manufacturing Company is looking for:
POSITION: Safety Leader
LOCATION: Dacula, Georgia Area (35 Miles Northeast of Downtown Atlanta)
SALARY: $80-85K + Bonus

Health, Safety, Manager with OSHA compliance experience, knows how to do reports with excellent grammar and spelling; engage employees in safety committee meetings, etc. Someone who really knows OSHA regulations, and can set up training programs and implement them in each plant. We do not want someone who feels training is going to get outsourced by a 3rd party vendor and then all that person does is collect the written records of the training and keeps them in a notebook. They have to be able to talk with employee groups and conduct that training on a monthly basis whatever it is from a safety perspective.
As the Manager , you will be responsible for performing and managing all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety functions of our manufacturing plant. Successful candidate wears many hats, is a hands on Environmental and Safety leader, who rolls up his/her sleeves and spends the bulk of their time out on the floor. Strengths must include ability to work and liaise between multiple levels of management and employees to achieve goals, must thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing a complex workload.
Environmental/Safety reporting, compliance and waste handling efforts
Manage and coordinate programs for compliance with all applicable local, State and federal regulations.
Initiate, lead and maintain both Facility Leadership Safety Team, Employee Safety Team and First Responder Teams
Conduct and accurately document routine audits and inspections
Provide technical assistance on environmental, safety and health matters
Investigate accidents, improve safety to reduce work-related injuries
Management of workers’ compensationclaims
OSHA/EPA and other mandatory local, state and federal topics
Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and deliver a variety of training topics
Develop and promote programs to educate first level Supervisors and Managers to effectively instruct employees.
Manage contracted services and support Corporate guidelines
Perform audits, reporting and investigations
Manage and coordinate all programs for compliance with PSM and RMP standards.
Four or more years hands on environmental and safety experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment
Demonstrated success in a management role
Ability to drive organizational change
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Formal problem-solving techniques
Hands on with a sense of urgency, ability to manage under pressure and manage multiple priorities and projects
