Job Description:  Act as a Leader for the E-GIS Field Ops Unit and manage a group of represented employees in the maintenance of the GIS connected model.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervisor for represented employees responsible for the maintenance of the Electric Distribution connected model
  • Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement
  • Enforcing GIS system policies and procedures
  • Provide support for connected model syncing between GIS, D-SCADA and OMS
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, safety and appraising job results
  • Maintain records of equipment and personnel necessary to supportaudits
  • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Provide information to Distribution Operations by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production data; answering questions and responding to requests
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control and personnel requirements; implementing change when required
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
  • Participate in Division planning meetings and take appropriate steps to prepare group for future work
  • Manage Electric based GIS scorecard results


As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm/outage restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and your regular work schedule. You may also be required to work in an alternate location.



  • BS/BA degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent expereience
  • 4 to 10 years business analysis/professional experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcCatalog and ArcFM
  • Electric Distribution design and Operations knowledge
  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers license
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
