Job Description:

The Technical Product Manager will lead the development of the IT Service and Application Strategy for his/her respective service area, working directly with Business Partners, the Business Relationship Manager (BRM), and other key service team members to understand the business’ strategic objectives and the capabilities required to meet those objectives.  The Technical Product Manager will apply RE/MAX’s enterprise architectural standards in developing and maintaining a capability taxonomy on behalf of business stakeholders and understand how current and prospective technology assets support those capabilities.  In addition, the Technical Product Manager will lead all IT service and application design efforts and the coordination of design activities across the service team in compliance with RE/MAX technology design standards.   

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop the applications strategy and product roadmap for the assigned service area and managed applications
  • Develop and steward the capability taxonomy and technology asset relationships for the assigned service area
  • Lead architectural design efforts and design coordination activities within the assigned service area
  • Create and maintain Application, Information, and TechnologyArchitecture documentation for the assigned service area
  • Maintain the Service and Application Portfolio
  • Contribute to initiatives to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT services and service team operations
  • Participate in the Community of Practice (CoP) to regularly collaborate, share ideas and best practices, and establish standards

Qualifications:

Formal Education and Certifications:

  • Minimum 4 Yeardegree from an accredited University
  • Agile certification preferred, but not required
  • ITIL Certification a plus

Experience:

  • A minimum of 8years as an Information Technology professional, preferably within technical product management
  • A minimum of 2 years operating as a Technical Product Manager for a website, SaaS application, or mobile application
  • Served in a role that has worked directly with business stakeholders either in a technology delivery or product management capacity
  • Experience working within an IT Service Mgmt. organization, preferred, but not required

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong experience with developing or implementing search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
  • Understanding of core business functions, required capabilities, and key E2E business processes
  • Deep understanding of IT systems environments and technology solution trends
  • Experience in defining and executing an IT or application strategy including making decisions relative to approach, solution options, and IT investments
  • Experience with site analytic platforms including Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics

Understanding of a franchising business model a plus
