Job summary
The Red Hat Finance team is looking for a Senior Director for the Global Accounting Operations team to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you’ll manage all the financial components and operations for its Global Payroll, Global Procurement, and Business Controls teams. You will report to the vice president of Accounting team who is also based in Raleigh. You will become a key leader within the Accounting organization to ensure that all accounting functions align with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate policies. As a Senior Director, you will also oversee the work to ensure our policies align with the leading best business practices.
Primary job responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the Payroll and Procurement processes
- Manage and analyze the daily activities; work with the team to refine the current processes and establish operational dashboards to ensure sound decisions are made
- Assess and implement best practices, assess the current operating model for scale and efficiency, make recommendations where appropriate, and be accountable to implement any model changes
- Work closely with the Internal Audit team to create a premium business control procedures
- Partner with the corporate finance team to ensure alignment of regional goals, objectives, and policies
- Lead cross-functional projects as required from the CFO
Required skills
- Accounting qualification; CPAqualification is preferred
- 10+ years of post-qualificationexperience, with 4+ of those years in a senior financial management role for an international company
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Demonstrated financial leadership experience with a successful track record of shaping and motivating operational management teams
- Advanced systems knowledge; experience with Oracle is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact daily with cross-functional departments, including sales, operations, business affairs, facilities, and human capital across many regions
- Experience in the technology industry is a major plus
