Lead the Underwriting team focused on developing and executing underwriting and exposure management strategies, spearheading advanced underwriting capabilities, ultimately driving sustainable growth for the cards business. Responsibilities include: - Acquire deep understanding of customer segment needs and behaviors - Drive analytics that provides the granularity needed to identify targeted customer profile- Implement disciplined approach to testing and execution, and develop robust tracking and performance monitoring capabilities- Work with the Risk Appetite team to develop risk appetite guardrails and performance benchmarks- Partner with Marketing and Decision Management teams to develop marketing intelligence tools and tracking mechanism- Drive initiatives to develop and leverage modeling capabilities on key product levers, including losses and revenue drivers - Continue to identify pockets of opportunities for improvements and broadening our underwriting- Lead presentations and discussions with Executive team, Global Risk, internal auditors and external regulators- Hire and coach team of analysts to transform into a high-performing, independent team.  

Qualifications


• Bachelor’s Degree required in statistics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline. Master’s Degree preferred in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Management or a similar quantitative discipline
• 10+ years of relevant financial services experience in Risk Management
• Full knowledge of the credit card life cycle and complete understanding of the credit card P&L
• Strong analytical skills, integrative thinking and demonstrated success in designing Strategy and driving the business agenda
• Experience managing a high performing team and creating a strong environment for risk management
• Ability to produce compelling presentations and influence executive audiences; an effective communicator with the ability to interact with all levels of management and external audiences
• The following skills are also crucial: SAS/SQL and/or experience in working with data and data manipulation tools; MS Office, PowerPoint, and EXCEL
