Understanding of IT software asset life cycle stages and activities
Understanding and use of reporting tools, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint, and Project.
Understanding of Software Asset Management (SAM) processes.
Identify areas for cost savings through the identification of shelfware, alternative support options, rationalization, license recycling and optimal licensing practices
Oversight and tracking of planned and/or projected new systems software requirements.
Work with the N6 Type Desk lead to provide administrative services in support of MSC software license management and tracking.
Alert stakeholders to licensing changes that are relevant to them and arrange licensing briefings as needed.
Support the management of the software CM program to ensure that renewal payments are justified, are in line with contractual commitments, and are paid or canceled in time to avoid late payment fees or cancellation penalties
In coordination with stakeholder, establish and improve, as needed, effective and efficient processes for software asset management including procurement of software licenses, proper deployment and assignment of licenses, maintenance of the licenses, and license renewal.
Ensure the processes are established in alignment with the N6 Type Desk initiative and industry and government best practices.
Experience with interviewing stakeholders and clear technical writing capability to provide justification documents
BA or equivalent + 6 years IT experience
Interim Secret Clearance required
Familiarity with FAR
Experience working in DADMS and eMASS
Experience doing market research and writing procurement packages
