Job Description : Provide Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) management and leadership to support the critical day-to-day manufacturing/assembly and industrial operations at Lockheed Martin facilities in the C4USS line of business. This position is based in Manassas, VA, the headquarters of the C4USS line of business, and has ESH management responsibility at five (5) primary Site locations including Manassas, VA; Marion, MA; Mitchel Field, NY; Palm Beach, FL; & Ewa Beach, HI; as well as approximately 52 other smaller field site locations across the US.

Manage a staff of 8 Environmental Safety & Health professionals with 5 based in Manassas, VA & 1 each based in Marion, MA; Palm Beach, FL; & Ewa Beach, HI.

Environmental Safety & Health Manager responsibilities include
1) Provide 24/7 ESH support to the five (5) primary Site Operations with the goal of zero business impacts & no unscheduled shutdowns related to ESH issues. Provide ESH support as required at the 52 other smaller field site locations across the US
2) Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety & health regulations and company policies affecting the locations above
3) Provide leadership to help the organization achieve its Target Zero Safety initiatives and goals
4) Maintain / standardize all applicable ESH Management Systems for the business area
5) Develop and implement compliance assurance plans to mitigate risks of Notices of Violations for all areas of responsibility; manage compliance and programs with balanced and informed risks
6) Provide/coordinate relevant training for ESH staff and LM employees as required
7) Partner with other ESH Managers across LM Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) to implement best practice ESH management systems & processes
8) Provide ESH support to achieve RMS Go Green goals regarding Energy, Water & Waste reduction initiatives

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in an Environmental Safety & Health related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industrial facilities area or a minimum of 15 years equivalent experience/combined education with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment in Environmental Safety & Health field in the industrial facilities area.

Strong knowledge of Environmental Safety & Health programs and responsibilities in industrial facilities.

Desired skills

Strong organizational leadership skills working with teams and individuals

Knowledge and experience in the Environmental Safety & Health field for industrial facilities

Ability to influence safe and compliant behaviors remotely through direct and matrixed staff at a full range of locations, both owned, leased or customer

Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the company

Management experience or significant project management experience
